to celebrate their 30th anniversary of producing drinks, Sprecher released this limited edition soda. they only made 3000 cases of it. i was told they would have it up for sale on their website but that did not seem to be ever happen. i should have just called and ordered but Tony said he could get me some so I just took him up on that offer instead. if it is super good I can still try to get some but it may be awful and i don’t want to be stuck with a lot of a bad soda, now do i?
i am pretty excited about this soda as I would say honey is my second favorite sweetener, after maple syrup. both i could just eat with little excuse to actually put them on something.
well, let em see how it is. oh wow, there sure is honey in here! geez, it is super honey flavored. i like that. the root beer taste very much takes a back seat to the raw honey. the carbonation level is quite low as well which adds to the effect i think. or at least it does not take away from it. it comes down to it being basically a honey soda with a bit of root beer flavors on top of it. it reminds me of the honey sticks you get at farms and junk, some of the flavored ones taste sort of like this. i would drink more of it were it around. so perhaps I should have ordered one of the 3000 cases. or perhaps i still will.
