i don’t know if this is a direct response to the Judge Wapner root beer or just another judicial themed root beer in a (very short) string of such things. the label has some kinda silly judge-related slogans on it, “so good it should be banned!” and “Judgement Day Cometh To Those Who Have Lost Their Fizz.” and then a gavel about to strike a very concerned looking mug of root beer which happens to be placed on one of those desktop gavel smacker things which i am sure have an actual name but which i do not know the name of.
the drink at hand falls into that big pile of root beers that are very good but not exceptional and pretty much taste the same. it isn’t a bad thing, just not exciting. it is kinda rich and creamy and smooth, just the right amount of carbonation, a nice caramel taste to it and it just goes down well. i thoroughly am enjoying this drink but i won’t be able to tell it apart from about 20 others if i was pressed with a blind taste test. some sodas stand out, this does not. yet, does it matter if it is good? probably not too much but it loses a little for that.
