it seems a little strange that they changed the ingredients in this one when you get down to it, but they did. or at least the list of ingredients on the bottle is different. now, was it accurate before or did they just print the same ingredients on all of the soda bottles previously and this is the same recipe they have had all along? I don’t know but I will go with the thought that they changed it up. why they would do such a thing, since as I recall this was a very yummy soda when I last tried it.
yeah this is good. super creamy, which I did not expect really. I mean REALLY creamy! wow. and not all that “birchy” / wintergreen tasting. I am enjoying it, but really more as something in the more traditional root beer side of the dichotomy than as a birch beer. obviously I love both and classify them all under the general “root beer” banner, yet I have expectations of what each sub category generally tastes like. that does not of course mean that a drink cannot cross over lines or break boundaries or just do something unusual. nonetheless it is rare that a company that makes a root beer along several birch beers would have a very root beer tasting birch beer. am I rambling? I think I am rambling. oh well, I can ramble if I so desire I guess. I do not recall exactly what I graded the old version at but I presume it was higher than I am putting this one at. well, if you like a super extra supremely creamy root beer that is also very sweet, give this a try. I think you will find it right up your alley.
