another offering from Northern Soda Company from their father’s day, “pop’s day variety” or whatever they called it is this Caramel Cream Root Beer. I am conflicted here as I quite like caramel but I quite don’t like cream soda. that might be a little weird, liking root beer a lot but cream soda not at all. my hope here is that they just mean “cream” as in it is creamy, not like cream soda. we shall soon see!
well, it seems they more mean the latter. yet it is not as bad as it could be. it is much more a cream soda mixed with a root beer. the caramel though is not at all prominent but much more a background thing I would not have noticed probably if it was not in the name. in fact I could be imagining it even being caramel at all. it is though very very sweet. in this case maybe overly so. the other flavors I have had from the assortment were sweet but it seemed to work better in those. some people may love this it really depends on your likes. it is creamy, yes. it is root beer, yes. but it is not great.
