I really do not know why I never got this before. I have known about Tree Fort Root Beer for many years, I mean it is soda #1086 in my database that is at around 1500 sodas currently. and since I have not added new sodas all that quickly in the past few years, I must have entered it in there a good 6 or more years ago. in any case, it works out as now I have another soda to review now! let me tell you, finding new root beers, birch beers and sarsaparillas is quite a hard thing normally but when quarantined it is even harder!
my first impression is a pretty good one, from a visual side. Tree Fort Root Beer comes in a clear bottle which is a bit unusual. but it is also a lighter brown than typical which I am all in favor of. the color scheme is various shades of brown in a fun pattern which works and give it a sort of futuristic farmer mixed with old school settler feel, if that makes any sense to anyone except myself.
I expect this to be rather light and perhaps tea-like. but will it be?
huh, yes that is about right indeed. the carbonation is a little more intense than I expected but otherwise it is a smooth light drink. you can drink it down to quench the thirst or sip it more slowly to enjoy the flavor. it is a little bitter, but that sort of goes along with the tea-like flavor I expected, although with 45g of sugar I am a little surprised it is bitter at all. I can taste the honey in here a little but would enjoy it more if it was a little more upfront.
I am okay with the fact I had to order a whole case of this from Tree Fort, I will definitely drink it over time. it is not something I will crave all the time but I will enjoy it after a hot day of yard work or whatever.
