Gripp Energy Drink Root Beer

this drink has been in my fridge for quite a while. hopefully it is still good and all that. ok, I just saw the date on it and it has been in there much longer than even I thought. the problem here is that I don’t really have caffeine or other energy things much of ever, except occasionally for cycling. because of this, such things affect me much more and last a long time. I can’t even have coffee ice cream after like 2 pm anymore or I’ll be awake all night. now that is a real shame since it is probably my favorite flavor. of course I could start drinking coffee on the regular and get my body used to it but I’d really rather not. so here I am at 8 am on a Sunday drinking this at long last. this actually has a buttload of vitamins in it so I may need to skip my own multi-vitamin today or risk being more overloaded with Biotin as I will have had 870% of it if I do finish this thing. I have encountered. I cannot imagine it was inexpensive to have this stuff produced especially for them. I have never seen this stuff in stores so it probably didn’t take off as they hoped. but there is always time for that.
this is definitely the most unique cap and up there as most unique overall packaging design
for an energy drink this is not half bad. granted I have only had a couple other energy drinks, all for review purposes on this site, so I am far from an expert on them. it is lightly carbonated as they state on the bottle. it is kind of fruity tasting but recognizable as a root beer. it goes down quite smoothly but I would not call it creamy at all, just the low carbonation facilitates a quick chug if that is your fancy. there is a hint of the stevia aftertaste. I was surprised to see it has stevia since there is 39 grams of sugar besides that, so why mess with the flavor that way? I imagine the target market expects sweet and assumes it will have a good amount of sugar anyway. but the less actual sugar the better maybe. so it is pretty much a nearly flat kind of generic root beer with lots of caffeine and vitamins. but hey, that is much better than I expected from it. in the end I did not even drink it all. but now it is time to go for a run and work off some of this caffeine.
