one day semi-recently this year my daughter texted me a photo of this drink, asking if I had had it. I replied that I had not and she told me to forget I saw it which I did my best to do. then lo and behold on Father’s Day I was bestowed a bottle of it (along with a bottle of their cola)!
as you are all very active readers of this site so you know very well that I do try to be somewhat healthful in my life beyond this whole drinking a root beer every week or two thing. but the vast majority of times those two spheres have intersected like an improbable Venn Diagram, it has been quite a disaster. I have been intrigued by the promises of these super powerful mushroom things though. yet I really don’t like mushrooms. they freak me out a bit. and they taste awful. but what if…. what if….
so yeah, nope. this is pretty terrible. it is bitter and not like a root beer in even the slightest way. yet I could drink it I suppose. I have had much worse drinks than this. if it really was magical and amazing I would drink this each day. but not because I like root beer. if it did not have stevia and erythritol it might be better. get rid of them, bump up the maple and we might have something ok. the caffeine also makes me unhappy. but other people crave such things so more power to those people. it tastes sort of like if I left a sarsaparilla tea bag in stevia water with apple cider vinegar way too long and carbonated that. that basically is what it is anyway though I suppose. I imagined this would be much worse really.
