well, let’s finish up the applicable offerings from Jersey Shore Soda, why don’t we? may as well. one thing I will say about all of these that I did not mention before, mainly because I thought it was a fluke or unusual thing, was that all three that I have had so far had really really tight caps. I had to get one of those rubber bottle twister assist-er cloth type deals each time. granted I could have used a bottle opener but as I save the bottle, it is cleaner afterwards to be able to twist the cap back on than to have it not really attached anymore.
I admit I have some very fond, great memories of Ocean City, NJ. for those who do not know, it is a dry town right next to Atlantic City which is far from a dry town. Atlantic City is where the people go to gamble who are too poor or lazy to go to Las Vegas or to a Native American casino. but it has none of the glamour and glitz that Vegas has which extends to an okay radius around the casinos. no, Atlantic City has about a ten foot radius of being ok, then it is kind of awful. but Ocean City is delightful, a great boardwalk, a pretty family friendly town, a beautiful beach and just a fun place. so I am good with the naming of this one.
but let’s get down to business! well, the root beer is not bad. it is kind of fruity in its rootiness. I don’t love that. I don’t hate it either but it is not the best flavor angle to take in my opinion. it is also a bit too sweet for me. that seems to play into the fruitiness. if it was less sweet I think it might taste more herby but instead it amps it up into the fruit sort of flavor range. it is a fine enough soda but I think it is the weakest of these three flavors from them that I have sampled.
