Kittywampus Soda Backwoods Brew Old Fashioned Root Beer

I am just so glad for the small brewers out there making their own take on root beer and/or other sodas, doubly so for those that will do mail order! there is just no way I would be able to get to sample so many sodas if not for both of those things. especially the first of course, without it, the second would not matter much.
oooo! oh wow, this is definitely a unique take on the classic while still keeping that classic, recognizable flavor. I taste a lot of different flavors in here. anise is in there front and center along with nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and I think some wintergreen. of course that is on top of a strong sarsaparilla taste. I like to try these sodas before looking at the ingredient list so hopefully I am right. I will check soon. the anise/licorice flavor is quite prominent so if you do not like that you will not be very into this one. but I am quite a fan of that taste, so to me this is super good, probably top 10-15 I have had. I am not sure how much of this I ordered but I hope it is a bunch although I suspect it is not since it usually doesn’t pay to have too many extra. the sweetness level is just right as well although probably a little sweeter than some people would like. the carbonation is also just right to me. I would even think about ordering more of this, which is not something I think I have ever done. nonetheless I would say this has restored my faith in the root beer world.
