well, the biotic root beers seem to have all been drunk for now, so on to a root beer sparkling water straight outta Canada and also from the mythical Vince! this is the store brand from a grocery chain called Sobeys apparently. although it seems they really operate under a bunch of other names, IGA, FoodLand, etc, all across Canada. ok cool.
now, before I even try this I will preface this with the fact that I do not think I have had a sparkling water I liked. I know lots of people love the stuff, my wife included, but I am not at all a person in that category. with that out of the way, let me try this…
yup, this not good. it is not sweetened at all and you can tell. yes, that could be fine I suppose, somehow, maybe. ok, maybe it can’t be ok most likely. I mean I drink at least a half gallon of water flavored with lime every day and it is very yummy, with no sweetener. yet every sparkling water I have had just it not good. perhaps it is just the carbonation that makes it bad? no, I think this would be crappy either way. it is bitter and harsh. once again it is nothing like what I would call root beer. blind taste test I think I would say this is water with a bit of some weird off brand kool aide, but the kind where you were supposed to add like four cups of sugar to, so it just tastes terrible until you do that. I really must have a regular root beer soon, just too many icky yuck drinks in a row here. but I did get these out of the way so there is that.

I don’t like sparkling (or even still) water either but flavored sparkling water makes beyond-delicious (instead of merely delicious) egg creams, especially if the flavors include vanilla.
