Sprecher Black Beer Root Beer

I am not sure if this is the same as the other Black Bear Root Beer, which may or may not still exist, I will go with “no” as the ingredients are different, so on with the show!
since 1931! well, not really… I mean they claim that and I am sure that is when the first Black Beer Root Beer was made and all, but it also was not made for a good half century or so in between there. now it is made by Sprecher and just seemed to appear a few months ago. I am going on the assumption that this is totally different from Sprecher’s regular root beer, or any of their other offers. but the ingredients are different so I am pretty confident in that belief. I am not sure how bears are connected to root beer, besides the obvious bear/beer thing, yet there are several bear theme root beer type sodas. it is probably second only to dog theme root beers, which I can see more as the member of the family not drinking actual beer or who you would not want to name a beer after even if they are as it might look a little too much like its urine or something. =)
so this soda! I am not into it I must admit. it hits wrong from the start, with a slightly sour yet sharp taste that fades into something a bit better but still not all that good tasting. oh, I have had many sodas much worse than this! but for a premium price and all this is not what I would want to have. I regret a bit buying a whole case instead of a mixed one with other flavors or something. you may like it, but it is not my cup of tea.
