in addition to reviewing root beers I also do other stuff. one of that assortment of stuff is the mobile game entitled Pokemon Go. somehow people thought I was responsible enough to be an admin on our local discord for this game. the fellow who founded this aforementioned discord knows I review root beers so when he went to Alaska on vacation and came upon this soda he asked if I needed it. being a super kind, generous and all around splendid person he then got me two cans and did not just taunt me with it. I think they are between can designs as the other one is slightly different but the ingredients exactly the same. I am guessing this one is newer as the can is more detailed and complex. it is a rather cool can. there is a wood grain looking background with a mountain in the mid area and some hikers in the foreground. I am a fan of that part of it.
the actual drink is not bad either. they are not as adventurous as I had hoped they would be, or maybe I have a weird expectation that all Alaska things are rebellious and unconventional for some reason. maybe I just formed too many opinions from watching “Northern Exposure” so many years ago and having a crush on Janine Turner. sure, it is a good soda that follows the usual root beer, with maybe a but more licorice taste to it. yeah that is definitely true now that I ponder it more. that is a nice feature. a fine drink here that I will probably never have again besides the second can of it I have of course. but that applies to very many sodas I have had over the years really.
